Parties

Turku is a student city, and this is maybe one of the reasons why you can do parties several time in a week. Some of them are organized by the student organization and some from the exchange student organization. So there are a lot of universities in Turku and every university has parties. There was nearly every week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday a student party and at the weekends were the normal parties. So except of Sunday and Monday you could go to parties every day.
I loved to do parties with the students, because you could wear the overall and get some pretty patches and as well you get in contact with a lot of different persons and cultures.
The student organization didn’t only organized party – they did as well some board games or other event and it always a lot of fun.
The best thing was that you could walk home after a party and you were in the apartment after 20 minutes. In Switzerland I live totally in the countryside, if I really want to walk home from the city, I have four hours. So it was a big change for me. Sometimes we rode with the bicycle to the city for doing party. I know not always the best thing, but it was so fast.
We also did a lot of pre-drinking’s in the Student Village that was always a lot of fun as well.
