Rovaniemi

After many hours of bus driving, we arrived Rovaniemi in Lapland. Rovaniemi is famous as the Santa Claus Village. It is very crowded, because tourists from all over the world are there. I didn’t like it that much, because I love nature places and not places which are built for tourists and just for one visit. So we were walking around and it is nice but nothing special. To most beautiful thing in this village were the reindeers. I love these animals since I saw them here the first time. They look so grumpy and I like this, because I am also often a little bit grumpy. I liked the Artic Circle, because it has a real meaning. It is the northern circle around the earth, and this is going trough Rovaniemi. I love historic things like this. I was not that long in the main part, because everything is so expensive, so I walked to the northern light village next to Rovaniemi to see if there are looking beautiful. It looked cute but as well really expensive. So I have to say I don’t need to go back to Rovaniemi, I was there for two or three hours and it is enough for me, but that is my opinion. I heard from other student that this was the most beautiful place – I think you must make your own experience.
