Skiing in Levi

When I went to Finland at the first of January my only goal was to go skiing one day, but the weather was not with us in Turku. We knew there is a small ski lift but without snow it would be difficult. The only chance to reach my goal was, that I will go in Levi. I was one week in Levi with time travels and it was the best week in a long time. The first time in this winter I had a lot of snow and when we get the apartment near the ski slope, I was more than happy. In the first morning we had time, so we get up early that we are the first at the ski rent and then as well the first ones on the ski slope. The weather was amazing, but we had only six hours, because after skiing we had to go to the reindeer farm.

With the first lift we went up to the hill and we tried the small slope directly in front of Levi but then we decide to go to another slope so we walked in the morning to another slope and there were a lot of different lifts and we could skiing around the whole lift. The best experience was, when we found the spot, where everyone does a video in the powder snow. The weather was perfect, and we did a video as well.

We made a stop at an old wooden house and thought about what is different to Switzerland and why do we pay that much money to went skiing in Finland when there are no mountains and every slope is flat against the slops in Switzerland. But I have to say the feeling in Finland is totally different, because the few on the hill is amazing you see above a part of Lapland and far. In Switzerland on some spots you can see the villages in the valley but normally you see only the mountains. Maybe it was so beautiful, because this winter it was the first and the last one, I was skiing, and I am Swiss, so I love it! It was a perfect day and I don’t forget it in my whole life.
