New home

After the university I went to my apartment. It was in the Student Village next to the city center. First, I was a little bit shocked about the apartment and the buildings. Of course, I knew that I live in a student village, but I am used to other buildings and student village from Switzerland. I get a starter package as well with everything I need, like cooking or bed stuff. It looked like a prison, because it was only a bed, a fridge, a wardrobe and a table inside with no decoration. This situation with homesick was really bed and I found the apartment worse than it was. The best thing on the whole situation was, that my Swiss friend was my room neighbor. We went shopping and bought everything for a good start, and I cleaned my whole room in the evening, that I could feel home and clean.
The worst thing was when we went shopping, we didn’t found a blanket and the IKEA was too far away. So I slept the fist night in my winter jacket and a cuddling blanket. I was freezing but I survived.
The next day we went to IKEA and bought some decoration and blankets. The best investment in this time. After decorating the room it felt home and not anymore like in a prison cell.
I like my new appartment.
